Day 097 - April 7th

Here he is, out and in action! He's the more active of the two crabbies, and that shell just gives him a ton of personality! The one in the blue shell isn't very active; he likes to burrow in the corner of the cage and hide all day. I need to get them a little heat pad thingy so they have warmth. It isn't very warm in our apartment. It's that awkward in-between phase of the season change. Boo.

Day 096 - April 6th

Happy 50th Birthday, Mom!!! This is a tree outside of Sharm & Old's house, and the blooms are just absolutely beautiful. We were there while Terri was getting her car worked on in the garage, and I couldn't miss the photo opportunity. I took it as the sun was going down so there weren't any drastic shadows in the tree or glares in the camera lens. I love how the focus is on one part of the flowers and the others are blurry. LOVE THAT EFFECT!!! I had never realized how many of this type of tree there are in Fairfield, Ohio. They are EVERYWHERE!

Day 095 - April 5th

I think this is yet another cheat-day but I'm showing a really neat picture of my hermit crab that's in the "tree frog" shell. I don't know how they managed to get the shell in the shape of the tree frog, but it's pretty cool looking. He's even got red/orange eyes. The actual crab is really a fascinating creature in itself, and in this photo you can kind of see his little tiny "feelers" poking out from in between his big claw and his little claw. They are so funny to watch and observe in their behaviors. One good thing about them, especially having kids, is that they aren't known to carry any diseases and they're hypo-allergenic! Score one for the home team!

I've gotten pretty far behind on my posts, and there have been a few days that I haven't taken any photos, but I will still have a post for each day. Promise.

Day 094 - April 4th

Easter Sunday. Today was spent at Kevin's Mom's house, and was adorned with lots of food, easter baskets, an easter egg hunt, and a really good movie to finish the night off (Law Abiding Citizen). Genesis isn't a big fan of the grass, and he can't walk without someone holding him by the arms, so Daddy took him around the yard hunting for eggs. And of course, Mommy wasn't far behind with that shiny silver camera of hers! He's wearing his spiffy new Old Navy outfit that his Daddy got him, which is absolutely adorable! His bib says "Chicks Dig Me" which couldn't be more true! haha! His first Easter was a success!

Day 093 - April 3rd

This is my 2nd cheat-day of my project365 blog. This was the day of the trip home. I woke up really sick. I had puffy eyes and we were on the road from 4am until about 7pm, with nothing of major importance to photograph. So I'm posting another photo from the Monday after we arrived (March 29th).

We arrived at the resort Sunday (yesterday) and it was mildly rainy, but this was the day that I was really able to get out and walk around the community. LOTS of great photo opportunities. It truly is an amazing place. Very calm and serene. They had a nice pool area near the pond, which is where the turtles and alligators reside. The turtles were just hanging out sunbathing. This was the bigger of the two alligators out this day. There was a sign posted on the other side of the lake stating the law against feeding the alligators and the $10,000 fine that comes along with.

Day 092 - April 2nd

Friday was the last day to really get out and do anything before our time on the island was up. We knew we'd be leaving before dawn Saturday morning. So Kevin and Old went to the Island Tattoo and got inked up! Kevin got a tatttoo of "Genesis" filled with baby blue coloring. This was his 5th tattoo but his first colored one. Old had never gotten a tattoo before in his life, and he got Sharma's initials ("SLY") on his arm. He was so pleased with that one that he went and picked out another one and got his zodiac sign in chinese/japanese symbols on the same arm below SLY. It was quite the experience. I'm glad I went with them to witness them in action. The shop was really cool, too. All the people were really nice and the place was clean and professional. I liked how they had it decorated. Graffiti on the back wall and "tiki" kind of decor. They even had a snake (in a cage, of course) in the lobby area.

Day 091 - April 1st

Thursday we went to the South Beach area of the island. This is one of the more popular areas for tourists, and the beach was MUCH more crowded than the first time that we went. It was earlier in the day so it was a lot sunnier and warmer out, which made it more enjoyable for the boys to go out in the water. I got my feet wet (as you can see here), but I didn't take part in getting in the ocean. Sharm, Genesis and I walked along the shoreline picking up shells, and we both found sand-dollars. Mine was still alive and red on the bottom, I don't remember if Sharm's was. They're a really interesting creature if you ask me. Genesis and I left the beach a little earlier than the others so that we could walk through some of the local shops in search of Hermit Crabs and an Airbrushed Shirt. I found the "Shell Shop" where my friend Alicia used to work when she lived down there (which is where I got my first set of hermit crabs) and bought two crabbies. Then I seen the Airbrush booth, went to speak with them, and was extremely disappointed in their quality of work so I decided not to get anything from there. Around the corner from the Shell Shop was this store called "Del Sol" (which coincidentally is what type of car that Kevin drives). They specialize in color-changing products. Everything from jumpropes and frisbees to t-shirts, handbags and fingernail polish. This is where I bought the souvenirs for Pierce. I got him a color changing shirt and a little thing of color changing SLIME. I also picked up Kevin a necklace that had a few color changing beads on it. He had been looking for a black shell necklace, but this one had black coconut pieces. Wasn't sure if he'd like it but he's been wearing it! yay!

Day 090 - March 31st

Wednesday was the day we went on the Dolphin Cruise! We seen about 4 or 5 dolphins, some near and some out afar. This was a very fun-filled day! I got to do a little bit of shopping in the boutiques in Harbour Town and see the Lighthouse. We were going to go up it but everyone was too hungry to climb all of those steps. I took this photograph after the cruise while Sharm was off doing a bit of work in the van. It's a shot of the sidewalk, which we took special notice of how the pavement all has crushed up shells and stuff in the mortar of the bricks and loose on top of the bricks. I love how it looks with the diagonal angle to the shot. Don't mind Kevin's hand in the shot. After we went on the cruise and decided to pass on going up in the lighthouse, it was off to ALL YOU CAN EAT CRAB-LEGS! Kevin was SOOOO excited! The place was great, there was outdoor seating (which we took advantage of until it got a little chilly) and the staff was very friendly and it was overall a really great experience. I think Kevin had two giant plates of the crab legs before he finally called it quits, but it could've been 3. I can't quite remember.

Day 089 - March 30th

This is my first cheat-day of my project365 blog. I didn't really get out of the condo much and there wasn't really a whole lot to photograph. So I'm posting another good photo from our day at the ocean yesterday (Monday).

Kevin, Genesis and I, plus Tamica, EJ, Keywaun, Kendrix and Ahlana went to the ocean by the Westin Resort and this is a shot of the three boys going into the waves together. I thought it was SO cute how they were all holding hands and facing the waves together. I'm so glad I captured this moment with a photograph. Totally blog-worthy if you ask me. :)

Day 088 - March 29th

Today we went to the ocean by the Westin Resort, which was a bit more "private" so-to-speak. It was overcast and windy but the sun came out from behind the clouds every now and then. This was Genesis' first time in the sand and he really didn't know what to think of it. He dug his little toes into it and scratched at it with his hands. I took him up to the water a little while after this picture was taken, and he was just amazed with the waves. I let them hit him a little bit, and one even knocked him over. It was probably a bad idea given how chilly it was, but he survived. After we got done in the ocean and were all freezing to death, we went up and washed the sand off and ended up getting into the heated pool by the Westin. Genesis ended up falling asleep in his little floater. It was so cute. Check out more photos from this trip (and the particular day that I'm writing about) on my facebook page.

Day 087 - March 28th

We took 2 days to drive down to South Carolina, and we picked up Kevin's sister's Mother-in-Law along the way to drop her off in/around Knoxville to see her Grandchild be born. After we dropped her off, we found a Holiday Inn Express to stay overnight. That place was AMAZING. For a short stay, it was a great time! Very comfortable! After we got back up and hit the road this morning, we stopped for lunch at a Pizza Hut, and Kendrix picked me these flowers in the parking lot. I filled up on the buffet and regretted it the whole rest of the drive. I love this photo for the interesting angle with the vanishing point of the table, and how you can see the parmesan shaker in the background and whatnot.

Day 086 - March 27th

This was the day of the BIG LEAVE! We all gathered at Sharm & Old's and packed up the "space shuttle" and began the journey to South Carolina. It was a tough squeeze getting all of our stuff into the van, but somehow we managed to do it! Genesis was preciously adorned in his Ohio State Buckeyes outfit that Granddad got him for Christmas, while Daddy was adorned in his Hendrix swag. I like the angle and color aspects of this photo. It was taken in the van while we were waiting around to leave.

Day 085 - March 26th

In an effort to prepare for the van ride to Hilton Head, I finally uploaded my new music library (from my new laptop) to my old (and I mean OLLLLLLLLD) iPod. My photo library is the only thing that really differed from my old laptop to the new. I'm kind of glad, though. Less pictures means more music. I had over 7,000 pictures verses only having about 3,000 songs. Now I only have maybe 1,500 photos. Someday, hopefully sooner rather than later, I will get with the times and get myself an iPod Touch. Maybe for my birthday this July one will come into my life. :)

Day 084 - March 25th

It's not very often that you get Four Generations of Men in the same family together at the same place at the same time - And manage to get a photo taken to capture the memory! This photo was totally worth a whole scrapbook page all to itself. This was taken at Thanksgiving dinner with Kevin's parents in 2009. Words were done with the DonJuan cricut cartridge with the shadow affect behind it. It's kind of funny to see how much Genesis has changed in the 5 months that have passed. He's growing up so fast!

Day 083 - March 24th

Since I'm going to be headed back to work after we get back from vacation, I'm trying to get as much scrapbooking done as possible beforehand. This was one page I've been looking forward to doing. I got my inspiration from the stickers that I had found, and knowing how cute my lil' man is when it's bath-time. I cut the big words out on the Cricut machine and put a brown shadow behind them. There's a page to the left of this one that is of his FIRST bath and it says {rub-a-dub-dub} at the bottom (with the brackets and all), but this one is so much cuter in my opinion. I've got 21 pages done total now, and only about a million left to go! Plus I've still gotta do the journaling and captions for the pages and photos. I've got all of the supplies, now I just need the time and motivation! (mostly just the motivation!)

Day 082 - March 23rd

Since I was offered a position with the photo studio and I accepted, I had to go in today and do my background check and all that fun stuff. I (later) picked up my employee handbook from the Hamilton store and picked up the prints from Genesis' Easter session. This is my handbook. I'm glad she gave it to me early so that I have some time to look over it before I'm actually ON the job. There's gonna be a lot to learn with this job and I'm pretty excited about things to come. It's a sales-driven job, which is totally new to me, so I'm definitely going to start out as an under-dog. I also have to invest into some nice business-ish clothes, since my last 2 - 3 jobs I was pretty much wearing jeans and a t-shirt (if not sweat pants) and hauling around a baby belly.

Day 081 - March 22nd

This was NOT the photo that I wanted to post today. It will have to do for the time being. Kevin got this candle at Meijer and we've had it on the candle warmer. It smells SOOOOO good! Probably one of the best smelling candles I've ever experienced. I suggest it to anyone that likes grape flavored ANYTHING.

Day 080 - March 21st

There wasn't much to photograph today, as I spent much of the day out shopping with Kevin and Genesis. So I just tried to get some good shots of the Easter Basket that I made for Genesis a few days ago. My favorite item was this adorable rubber duckie bunny that I picked up at the Dollar Tree. I got him a "fabric" basket, one that I could smoosh and put into a shadow box with his little bunny outfit (like I did with his Santa Suit from Christmas) and other items from Easter. I tried to get a shot with the duck in focus and the basket out and I must've taken 30 shots trying to get the perfect angle and lighting. I think this one was the best of what I took.

Day 079 - March 20th

Happy Spring Equinox! No better way to ring in the first day of the Spring season than with a cookout baby shower. I made the proud Mommy and Daddy this diaper cake as a surprise and I just COULDN'T wait to reveal it to her! It was driving her nuts wondering what it was! It was quite a hit with the rest of the shower guests. Everyone says I should sell them. (and I definitely would if there were people interested in buying them!) Luckily there was no rain and the shower was a huge success. I had a great time and I miss these two so much!

Day 078 - March 19th

This was quite possibly the busiest Friday that I've encountered in a very long time. I had an interview with PictureMe! portrait studios in Western Hills, and I also had to pick up the cake for Danielle and Mike's baby shower for Saturday (shown above) from Joyce's Tasty Cakes in Hamilton. Not to mention run to Meijer to have them replace the 5 x 7 prints that were messed up and drop Genesis off with Granddad while I went to my interview. I'm usually on time (if not early) to everything on my agenda but I managed to run behind about 15-20 mins. If you've never had a cake from Joyce's, you haven't lived yet! It's so good! So beautifully decorated! My baby shower cake was from there, so I couldn't provide Danielle with anything less!

Day 077 - March 18th

I finally got some new shades today! I've had my other/old pair for so long now... at least 3-4 years. The lens was only holding on to the frame by one screw above the nose, and they were due to fall apart any day now. I picked these up at Meijer while I was there printing out some photos for Genesis' scrapbook. I think I'm coming to realize that I cannot go into a store and ONLY buy what I went in there with the intentions to buy. This.... my friends.... could be a problem. I'm a shop-a-holic at heart! What can I say?

Day 076 - March 17th

Today was a bright and beautifully sunny day in Fairfield, Ohio. Terri and I took Genesis to Waterworks Park to swing. This was his first trip to the park! It was so funny and cute to see him in the swing. He had already been up for a few hours, so it caught up to him and he eventually fell asleep in the swing! We took him and set him in the shade and blew him bubbles. Then I took him down the curly slide once and walked him along the playset. It was just a peek at what I have in store for when He is old enough to run around and play in it all by himself.

Side Note:: It was also St. Patrick's Day, but that's not something that I celebrate. And I had him in his little ROCK -a- SAURUS REX shirt. So cute!

Day 075 - March 16th

Since He's been so sick, Genesis has been sleeping/napping on his tummy. I think it's adorable the way his little butt is stuck up in the air. I wish there wasn't so much clutter in the photo, but it's still a decent shot. And he's clutched on to that toy so hard!

Day 074 - March 15th

Genesis, Meet Spud Bunny. Spud Bunny, Meet Genesis.
After getting his fabulous portraits taken for Easter, I had some more shopping to do for Danielle's baby shower this coming Saturday. While I was out, I got some stuff to make Genesis an Easter basket. I picked this Mr. Potato Head up on a deal at Wal-Mart. (I'd call $5 a bargain!) It's actually called "Spud Bunny" and he didn't come with any extra pieces, but I think that it's totally adorable and every kid should have a Mr. Potato Head! They now call the little compartment where you put the pieces in the body the "Tater Tushy" which I find utterly hilarious! I just gotta watch him closely to make sure he doesn't put those arms in his mouth.

Day 073 - March 14th

With Genesis being so sick the last few days, there's been a lot of coughing and vomiting... and therefore a lot of baths. I was really wanting to get a picture of him with his rubber duckies for the "Bathtime" scrapbook page. I think this was probably the best shot that I got that didn't have his little winky in it :)

Day 072 - March 13th

I went shopping with my friend Terri today, and I found this little can of Mountain Dew flavored lip balm (and if you know anything about me at all, it's my undying love for the Dewski.) I'm really not a fan of lip balm because the flavors are always kinda gross, so maybe this flavor will be one that I can tolerate. Kevin went shopping and got a few shirts and stuff for Genesis. This "ROCK -a- SAURUS REX" shirt is my favorite! I love it!

Day 071 - March 12th

Genesis had his 6 month check-up today (even though he's closer to 7 months of age). He had developed a cough over the past few days but when I took him in for the appointment they said he had a fever around 100.2 degrees. The check-up went fine as far as his growth and everything (well, except the fact that they basically said I'm feeding him too much? "No more than 32 fl oz in a day... whatev.) They went ahead and gave him his shots... 3 shots in the legs, 1 oral injection, and pricked his little finger to test his iron. Poor little guy. He was so mad! Daddy is SOOOO lucky he doesn't have to go through those appointments!

Day 070 - March 11th

Remember when 3-D glasses were made of paper and blue/red film? Look at them now! And look how good he makes them look! HAHA! How adorable!!!

Day 069 - March 10th

This is my 4th scrapbook page I've EVER made, and the letters were done with our new Cricut machine. It has a red "drop shadow" behind the striped letters. I'm still going to add some stickers and maybe ONE small portrait from his Christmas session at Olan Mills Studios. Not quite sure yet. I think I did a cute thing by joining the words with a common letter. That wasn't part of my original thoughts for the page but it worked out VERY well and I adore it! I think I got a good thing going, here!

Day 068 - March 9th

Here is one of the wonderful creations you can do in a jiffy with the Cricut machine! My official First Project via Cricut. A simple Thank You card with a great handmade feel, done in a quarter of the time it'd take to cut out that word by hand. Probably even less! Next time, I plan to use a contrasting color on the little "ribbon" that goes across the word so it sticks out a lot more. Probably something like yellow or orange. A color that isn't on the striped paper at all. Stay tuned for more Cricut projects!

Day 067 - March 8th

After a few good hours of fussing, who knew that putting Genesis in the Cricut box would be the thing to calm him down?! Haha! Great idea, GrandDad!!! It's pretty hard to get anything done with him fussy and dying for attention, but I'll be darned if it's not the simplest things that satisfy a baby! I used to play in boxes ALL THE TIME when I was little. I wish I had a picture of myself in the box that I turned into a little car. It had a saran-wrap windshield, a paper-plate steering wheel, a slot to slide my AC/DC and Hootie & the Blowfish cassette tapes through, and sharpie-marker dials and vents and the whole nine yards. Those were the days!

Day 066 - February 7th

Sharm and I have been discussing investing in one of these machines for a while now, and boy am I glad we finally made the leap! How exciting! It's a scrapbooker/crafter's dream come true!!! She found it on a deal, had an extra coupon, plus splitting the cost in half made it an exceptionally good bargain!!! Worth EVERY penny!!!

The Cricut "Create" Machine = Best.Thing.Ever.

Day 65 - March 6th

Today we celebrated Pierce's 3rd Birthday (even though his actual birthday was March 1st) at my Dad's house. It was great to have everyone together in one place at one time. It was the first time my Grandparents got to meet Genesis, and I hadn't seen my niece Emma in quite some time. This photo was taken as we were waiting for Bobby, Crystal and Emma to arrive.

Papaw Red Dog and his lil' Buddies!

Side Note:: Kevin && I went and seen the new Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland in 3D, and it was SOOOOO good! The showtimes were selling out very quickly and every seat was pretty much FULL! They had employees in the theater moving people over to fill the empty seats so more people could fit with their groups. It was a great time!

Day 64 - March 5th

Today was a really pretty day in Ohio, at least our part of the state anyway. I had some errands to run, and what better time to do it than while the sun is shining and the birds are chirping?! Genesis loves car rides because it generally means NAPTIME! Since he's big enough to sit up in the carts now I've been having to wake him up as we go in each store, and it's a pain in the neck to get him out of a rear-facing seat. It could always be worse, though. At least this one has a low back and I can reach over it. Won't be so easy when we get him in a big-boy seat!

Day 63 - March 4th

I seen the idea for this project online a while back. The original link was lost on my old laptop along with all of the rest of my bookmarks, but I had already gotten most of the supplies. A deck of playing cards (was soooo stoked to find the pink deck at Krogers), a pack of book rings, and (just to be a little bit cleaner with the finished product) a smaller hole punch than are sold at most places. I printed out 52 of the reasons why I love my mommy and cut and glued them to the cards. I got it done in a shorter amount of time than I thought, even with sticking a bunch of heart stickers and stuff to them as well. Just need to do a few finishing touches to the rings (ribbon, beads, etc.)

Day 62 - March 3rd

Last night we had one of those "jabbing-the-broomstick-at-the-ceiling" moments when the neighbors upstairs were sexin' it up at 2:30 in the morning... I didn't call and complain like I normally would have, and when Kevin came home from work this sign was on the outside door. I think it's funny. I didn't complain, and I'm sure the complaining wasn't about their noisy bed, but they are still loud voice and music wise. If someone was complaining about the noise coming out of our apartment, they must not know what it's like to have a teething 6 month old baby boy!

Day 61 - March 2nd

His new favorite toy is this little flashlight. He has been teething pretty bad the last few days, so he's been putting anything and everything in his mouth. I actually got him to eat some bananas from the spoon in his high chair today. 2nd foods, which is a first. He'd ate a few of the 1st foods, but wouldn't after I tried to give him prunes, peas, and carrots. Gonna try to keep up with the spoon feeding and hopefully he'll start taking to it a little better. He wants "big-people's food" as I like to say. He stares at us when we're eating like a dog beggin' for a scrap. :)

Day 60 - March 1st

LOOKY-LOOKY WHAT I GOT TODAYYYYY!!! I bought it for myself, so don't get any ideas! I've been eyeballing this ring since I was only a few months pregnant, and had been waiting for a good time to get it. Meijer (in Fairfield/Forest Park) has most of their jewelry 90% off! So it looks like it was an awesome choice to wait on buying it. Of course, it was the ring that I wanted from Kevin, but that hasn't happened yet and this was TOO GOOD OF A DEAL to pass up! The lady said they're getting a new distributor/supplier so what they don't sell during this 90% off sale they're sending back. Well, I wasn't gonna let this one get by me! Can you believe the deal I got on this thing? It's 10 karat white gold, 1/8 karat of a diamond, size 7. Ahhh, I'm so happy!

Day 59 - February 28th

One of my favorite shirts from our tie-dye day, is my "Rainbow Pie with Black" shirt. It takes a brave soul to add a coat of black over their perfectly dyed pie, and I did it! This is a special technique I picked up in Miss T's craft classes in High School, and it adds a little something extra to the shirt. Sometimes (since Lisa has to mix the black dye) if it's not mixed right it turns out green and mucky-yucky. But this time it turned out GREAT! Thanks, Lisa!!!

Day 58 - February 27th

Today was an [akf] kraft korner day at Lisa Hill's house! (see the badge on the side of my blog for a link to our facebook page) We did lots and lots of tie-dye and were gonna play with Lisa's new Yudu screen printing machine. I don't know if they did or not, but I left before they got to it if so. Terri came with me to help with Genesis, and she ended up doing a few shirts for me and herself and her boyfriend Kevin. All of the shirts were super fun to make and we tried a few new techniques this time around. I always dread the 24-hour wait while we let the dye set in. It's so hard not to cheat and peek!

Day 57 - February 26th

Today was the day this week that I did all of my errands. We went to Babies R' Us for a big-boy car seat (long story), JoAnn's for t-shirts to tie-dye, Dollar Tree for some random supplies for tie-dying and Danielle's baby shower, and Kroger for groceries. There was a bonus at Krogers, I FINALLY FOUND A GIRL SCOUT TROUP SELLING GIRL SCOUT COOKIES!!!! YAY!!! I bought a box of peanut butter sandwich cookies, and the peanut butter ones dipped in chocolate. Yum! Anyway, each store we went in, I took Genesis out of his car seat and let him sit up in the cart. He's such a big boy! He'll try to reach stuff on the shelves and throw stuff out of the basket if I put anything up there with him. Every store we went in there was at least two people "gawking" at how adorable he is. I can't take him anywhere! lol! Several times people were mistaking him for a girl because I take my Hello Kitty blanket with us. I'm working on getting him a more boy-ish blanket. I am debating on making him one somehow.

Day 56 - February 25th

Baby Boy loves bathtime!!!

Day 55 - February 24th

WIPE THIEF!!!
He managed to open the wipe tub, get one out, and start chewing on it! I just HAD to take a snapshot of this! He's quite the little character, isn't he? He's getting into everything these days!

Day 54 - February 23rd

I've been wanting to make a diaper cake for a long time now, and I didn't get to do one for my own baby shower, so since I'm playing a big part in my friend Danielle's shower, I just *HAD* to do this for her. I told her I was making her a special surprise, but wouldn't tell her what! Lets just hope she doesn't stumble across my blog! This 'cake' has about 75 (size 1) Luv's diapers, 3 bottles, 4 pacifiers, 1 pair of no-scratch mittens, 7 tie-dye onesies, and a picture frame. I have a few more things I wanna try putting on it to see how it looks, but if it starts getting too busy, I'll just scrap that idea and just give them to her as regular gifts. Only about 3 more weeks til her shower, and she text me today saying she was already having contractions! OH NO!!! Impatient baby!!!

Day 053 - February 22nd

I worked on this in the wee hours of the morning, since I couldn't fall asleep. I knew I had to take my dad to get injections in his spine in the afternoon. The longest part of the back of this shirt was putting the million little tiny rolls of tape on the back of the stencils. The tape is old (from my 1st year of college in 2006) and wouldn't stick to itself. It was very frustrating. But the painting was easy and went a lot faster than I expected. Now I just need to get this bad boy in the mail on it's way to North Carolina!

Day 052 - February 21st

My Little Family <3
Genesis @ 6 months, 2 days

Day 051 - February 20th

I started working on Dani's shirt today. This is the front detail. Done with my good-ol' trusty splatter brush, and the neon paint colors (plus a touch of black) that was in the previous post. The back will be done with the same colors and method, but will have words.

Day 050 - February 19th

I was assigned the task of making Dani a new [akf] shirt, which I'm very excited to do! These are the colors she wants, which I happened to have on hand, as well as the size and style shirt that she wants! Lord knows I won't ever fit in that little fitted shirt ever again! haha! I just have to say that I love this color combination, so much that I did a whole post about it! (not that I have much to say about it, hehe) Her shirt will also have black in it, and it's going to be a splattered stencil design. I'm sure I'll post the results, too.

Day 049 - February 18th

Today I worked on my Mom's 50th birthday present :) Her birthday isn't until April 6th, but I was TOO excited to wait to do it! The design on the cup is a rub-on decal, and I put one on each side of the mug. The mug is GIGANTIC, if you couldn't tell! Seriously, it's HUGE. I filled it with York Peppermint Patties, Reese Cups, and Hershey Kisses. I figured it would be a good idea to do it early since we're going on vacation the week before her birthday, and knowing me, I'd lose track of time and it'd get pushed aside and forgotten about, so I figured WHY NOT? It turned out really great. I hope she likes it.

Day 048 - February 17th

My friends Terri & Kevin came to visit us and this was a priceless moment I had to capture! Genesis LOVES hats, and i think this big floppy hat looks adorable on him. :)
